Talking Fresh 2022: Weathering Heights: Creativity and Climate Change

The Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild is excited to present Talking Fresh 2022: Weathering Heights: Creativity and Climate Change. Our festival theme explores how Canadian writers of various genres are creatively grappling with our changing environment. How do we explore this topic creatively? What’s our role as writers – and humans – during this time of change?

This year’s festival will be held virtually March 2-5, 2022 and in-person in Regina on March 5, 2022 at The Artesian (2627 13th Avenue). All events are open to the public and free of charge, with the exception of our ticketed Local Food Evening at YQR Local Market (1377 Hamilton Street).

Our program will include online Climate Conversations with writers in different genres, interactive writing workshops in fiction, nonfiction and poetry, and a celebration of local food featuring a three-course farm-to-table meal and a conversation with well-known Canadian food writers dee Hobsbawn-Smith and J.B. MacKinnon.

Full details and registration links are now available on our Talking Fresh webpage.
