Presenters
Debra Bell is a Saskatchewan publisher and acquisitions editor with Radiant Press. She has worked in the publishing industry for 15 years. When she isn’t reading submissions, she is reading other publishers’ books. Her favourite part about publishing is sending acceptance letters to authors. Her second favourite part is opening a box of new books. She is also an unpublished poet. She lives in Regina with her partner and co-publisher, her daughter, and two ginger cats.
Suzy Krause is an author from the Saskatchewan prairies. Her most recent novel, I Think We've Been Here Before, has been optioned for film and shortlisted for four Saskatchewan Book Awards. Her books have been translated into Russian and Estonian, and all of them have been Amazon First Reads picks.
Host
Hollay Ghadery is an Iranian-Canadian writer living in Ontario on Anishinaabe land. Fuse, her memoir of mixed-race identity mental health, was released by Guernica Editions and won a 2023 Canadian Bookclub Award. Her poetry collection, Rebellion Box was released by Radiant Press in 2023, and her short fiction collection, Widow Fantasies, with Gordon Hill Press in fall 2024. Hollay is a host on The New Books Network and co-host on HOWL on CIUT 89.5 FM. She is a book publicist, the Regional Chair of the League of Canadian Poets as well as the Poet Laureate of Scugog Township. www.hollayghadery.com.
