The SWG provides our members with many professional development opportunities. The benefits of membership include the following:

- Free listing on Find Saskatchewan Writers, our online database of Saskatchewan authors;
- Access to funding through the Author Readings Program for reading events across Saskatchewan (in-person or online);

- Eligibility for: paid opportunities, such as work as an evaluator for the MS Evaluation Service, One Book, One Province (organized by the Saskatchewan Library Association), the Hyland Volunteer Award, and to be a SWG Board Member
