Tânsi Talk with Conor Kerr & Curt Sanderson

The SWG brings Conon Kerr to Tansi Talk Series! Conor will discuss Metis bravado and exaggeration in storytelling and how he’s used the stories of his grandmother to help find his own voice. This session will focus on humour, dialogue, narrative, ridiculousness, and how we as writers can use these tools to our benefit. Hosted by Curtis Sanderson

Presenter & Host Biographies:

 

Conor Kerr is a national award-losing Métis/Ukrainian writer. Conor is the author of five books, including the novel Prairie Edge and the poetic novella Beaver Hills Forever. His novel Duck Blind is forthcoming in spring of 2027.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Curt Sanderson is an emerging Cree and Métis writer from the Mistawasis First Nation and a former apprentice of the Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild Indigenous Mentorship Program. He discovered writing through his recovery journey and is now over five years sober. Curt is a proud father to Jack and Gracey. When he's not writing, he works at the University of Saskatchewan, supporting students. He is also a casual news anchor for the Saskatoon Media Group radio stations.
