Writing the Opening Sentence

 

The SWG, in partnership with the Saskatoon Public Library, welcomes Dr. Norma Dunning. In this workshop, Norma will explore what the opening sentence represents to the genre you are writing in and how to capture the reader's attention with your first words.

Dr Norma Dunning is a Padlei Inuk writer, professor and grandmother. To date, she has released five books. Two collections of poetry, two collections of short stories and one work of nonfiction. She lives in Regina.
