Writing Your First Mystery Novel: A Practical Guide
Betty Ternier Daniels will discuss some of the occupational hazards faced by writers. She will then walk you through her writing process, from planning the novel to copyediting and proofreading.

Betty Ternier Daniels divides her time between the family farm in northwest Saskatchewan and a cohousing community in Saskatoon. A former sessional instructor in English at the University of Saskatchewan, her debut novel (Grounds for Murder. ECW Press, 2024) was shortlisted for the Saskatchewan Book Award for fiction. She has completed a second novel, A Clear-Cut Case, and is working on a third. Betty has a passion for gardening, theatre, and food. She and her husband live with two cats and are the parents of two middle-aged children.
