David Sealy

David writes plays, poetry, fiction and non-fiction. He sings and studies Fitzmaurice voice work. His work appears in the anthologies Listening with the Ear of the Heart and 2000% Grain. His play, Life's Like That, was part of the Saskatchewan Playwright Centre's Spring Festival of New Plays. I Married a Dishrag (renamed Runaway Barbies) was workshopped and read at Lunchbox Theatre's Petro-Canada Stage One Festival in 2003. A portion of this play won Grain Magazine's Short Grain Dramatic Monolog in 2002. David was the runner-up for the 2005 City of Regina Writing Award. He is the winner of the 2012 City of Regina Writing Award for his play, Stuck with the Queen. The Bob Shivery Show will receive its world premiere September 10-29, 2012 at Calgary's Lunchbox Theatre. Mike Kennard of Mump and Smoot fame will direct.
