Janelle Fettes makes her home on a ranch nestled in the rolling prairie hills of southern Saskatchewan, with her husband, two daughters and their cattle dog, Bo.  She shares her passions for wellness and compassion through yoga, meditation and reflective writing.

In a constant strive for perfection and control, Janelle spent many years struggling with eating and exercise disorders, and living in an extremely restrictive way.  After welcoming her daughters into her life, she committed to her own healing in order to be a positive role model.  She dove into a life-long journey of self-discovery, which led her back to her childhood love of writing.  She has recently published her first book, "from cage to sky," a collection of poetry, quotes, and short pieces about her journey through eating disorders, familiy alcoholism, burnout, and self-discovery.

Janelle hopes that sharing bits and pieces of her own story will help others know they are not alone in their struggles, nor their triumphs.  May her words act as invitations to reconnect with yourself and as inspiration to create a life that feels good on the inside.
