Kristen H. McLeod writes about memory, motherhood, and what’s left when the world you believed in falls apart. Her memoir-in-progress, Cultivated, is a literary exploration of resilience and reinvention after life in a cult. She holds an MFA in creative nonfiction from the University of King’s College, an honours degree in Women’s Studies, and a certificate in Public Relations from the University of Regina. Her essays have appeared in The Globe and Mail, Motherwell, JuxtaProse, CBC Saskatchewan, and the Leader-Post. She’s performed spoken word and comedy across Canada and the U.S., and teaches writing and communications. Kristen lives with her three children, two dogs, and one husband, none of whom have asked to be included in her work — and all of whom appear anyway.
