Will Klein was born at Shaunavon, Saskatchewan on April 24,1932. He was educated at Loomis, SK, Victoria Public School, and Central Collegiate, both of the later in Regina. He began his career as a District Manager (circulation) and a part time sports writer at the Leader Post. He then accepted a position (1952) with The Western Producer, a farm weekly published by the Modern Press, Saskatoon.
He became one of the earliest employees of CFQC-TV in January 1955 and rose to the position of General Sales Manager., a position he held until July 1964. He was then appointed the Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Diamond Jubilee and Canada Centennial Corporation in Rgeina. It was a 42-month governemnt entity to head the province's celebration in 1965 asnd the provinces participation in Canada's 1967 Centennial celebrations.
Mr. Klein was active in the Kinsemn Clubs of Canada from 1952 through 1972. During that period be was elected President of the Saskatoon Kinsmen Club, a Nationasl Director, Didtrict 3 Governor of Saskatchewan Kinsmen Clubs) and then National President in 1965/66. He was the third Canadian to be elected President of the World Council of Young Men' Service Clubs in 1967/68. In the latter capacity he traveled to 21 countries and 55 cities on a 100-day round the world travel to clubs in the Association
At the conclusion of the celebrative period, he was named Executive Director of the Regina Chamber of Commerce for 2 years. He then left for a 15-year career as Managing Director and ultimately President of Canadian Pioneer Management Ltd.
He was appointed to The Order of Canada in December 1983 for his voluntary commitments for over 30 years.
He left CPML in early 1985 after one of the company's subsidiaries, Pioneer Trust was voluntarially liquidated.
He then relocated to Scottsdalke, Arizona, eventually becoming a dual citizen of Canada and the USA.
In September 1993 he founded SkyMed International Inc (the company name was established in 1989) which is a membership organization serving travellers with medical air ambulance repatriation services with a multiplicity of other travel services on a global basis. The company is still active in 2024 and has provided travel to some 600,000 members over 30 years.
He is married (Eleanore who is currently President of SkyMed) and has 3 children (Philip who is retired; Pamela and Kelli who is manage of an optical compny in Salmon Arm, BC.) Pamela Klein is the current Chancellor of the University of Regina.
