Storytelling Humour - How wonderful, refreshing and healing this is.

 

Join our host, Heather O’Watch and this week’s presenter, Bevann Fox who will chat about the focus on humor points, how to use humor for self healing and sometimes learning a lesson. She will also share some stories by reading from her book ‘Genocidal Love’.

Presenter

 

Bevann Fox is a member of Pasqua First Nation, originally from Piapot First Nation. In 2012. A mother and grandmother of four.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Arts and Culture and in 2018 her Master in Business Administration, Leadership from the University of Regina. In 2014 she was honoured with the YWCA Women of Distinction Award—Arts, Culture and Heritage. She is the founder, producer, and co-host of Access TV's The Four.  She is a certified yoga teacher and an artist in sculpture and acrylics.

 

 

 

Host

 

Heather is a Nakota and Cree woman from the Okanese First Nation located in Treaty 4 Territory. She is a graduate student and works in the philanthropic sector. Her passion for being a storyteller started at an early age with writing. Heather enjoys sharing, creating, and honouring stories of her own experiences around culture, identity and body positivity. An SWGIP alumni, Heather’s upcoming children’s book Auntie’s Rez Surprise is set to be released in 2023.
