Craig Silliphant is an award-winning writer and Creative Director, working in both mainstream and underground media. He is a writer, essayist, film and music critic, broadcaster, journalist, advertising and marketing strategist, musician, and filmmaker.
His work has appeared in outlets like CBC, Post Media, CTV, Rawlco Radio, Global TV, CFCR, Planet S Magazine, Prairie Dog Magazine, The National Post, The Edmonton Journal, The Feedback Society, Shaw Spotlight/Rogers TV, and many more. He was a juror on the Polaris Music Prize and the Juno Awards for over a decade. He wrote and co-produced an award-winning Global TV documentary called, ‘Stolen Sisters,’ about the plight of missing and murdered Indigenous women. He also wrote and directed the film 'How Chee,' about the infamous Saskatoon commercial that became folk lore.
Craig's non-fiction book, ‘Exile Off Main St: Random Dispatches from the Saskatoon Music Scene,’ his collection of fiction short stories, 'Nothing You Do Matters,' and his book of comedic essays, 'Bunnyhug Cynic,' were all local best sellers. He lives in Saskatoon with his wife, son, and daughter.
