Victoria Jurgens

Victoria Jurgens is a lifetime reader, voracious from an early age all the way through three degrees: a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology, a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, and a Master of Business Administration. She has spent countless hours reading to her nine younger siblings, her children, and now, to her grandchildren. She hopes Silisia Dances: Toward Her Dream will help start curious little girls and boys on their own reading journey.

Victoria Jurgens is a dietitian registered with the Saskatchewan College of Dietitians and was a Saskatchewan Party Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Saskatchewan from 2011 to 2016. She wrote her first book, People Series Book 1 - A Perfect 10 - for her mother and siblings, of whom she has nine. Victoria has three children but more than 1,000 relatives who can be traced. Some of their stories are found in her second book Plainfolk Stories from the Farm about the Impact German-Russian Farmers and Planer Colonists had on Two Countries and Seven Generations. She hopes that they, along with the descendants of the Planer Colonists and the larger German-Russian community, are as curious to learn what life was like for their pioneering ancestors as she is. https://www.victoriajurgens.ca
