The SWG is now accepting applications for the February 2022 Winter Writer and Artist Retreat, held at St. Peter’s Abbey in Muenster, SK from February 4-25, 2022.
The SWG’s Winter Writer and Artist Retreat is a self-directed retreat for established and practicing writers and artists who are able to work independently. Writers can choose to attend 1-2 weeks of retreats. Spaces are limited.

Please note that we are following the SWG's COVID-19 protocols. All retreatants will be required to mask in public spaces at St. Peter's and show proof of double vaccination.
Scholarship and Bursary Opportunities
The SWG is pleased to announce that our Winter Retreat now has two scholarships and bursary opportunities for attending writers. The Judy McCrosky Bursary pays one week’s fee for an emerging Saskatchewan writer and the John V. Hicks Scholarship provides $300 to a mid-career Saskatchewan writer working on poetry for a two-week stay at the Winter Retreat.
