Jennie E Hunter

Jennie Hunter lives and creates in Saskatoon. She writes as both Jennie Hunter and J. E. Hunter. As Jennie Hunter, she writes literary fiction and her work has appeared in over half a dozen literary magazines including Prairie Fire, Broken Pencil, Blank Spaces, and The Anti-Languorous Project. As J. E. Hunter, she has published The Black Depths series, for readers of young adult fantasy, and the Artifacts of Avalum series, as well as the standalone novel Under Jupiter. Jennie Hunter is always exploring new worlds, ideas, and themes with fiction. She also works in the field of environmental engineering, which plays into her fictional work. She received a grant from the Saskatchewan Arts Board in 2018 to focus on writing a collection of short stories about women who work in non-tradition rolls.
