The Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild is pleased to announce the participants of the 2024 Mentorship Program and Indigenous Mentorship Programs. These programs nurture emerging Saskatchewan writers by pairing them with established writing mentors for a 4-month program (Jan 1 – April 30).

 

Mentorship Program

Lynn McGonigle-Clarke (Saskatoon) mentored by Beverly Brenna (Saskatoon) – young adult fiction

Hilary Klassen (Saskatoon) mentored by J. Jill Robinson (Galiano Island) – creative nonfiction

Chenise Puchailo (Saskatoon) mentored by Marie Powell (Regina) – young adult fiction

Morgan Traquair (Regina) mentored by Lynda Monahan (Prince Albert) - poetry

 

Indigenous Mentorship Program

Curtis Sanderson (Saskatoon) mentored by Dr. Norma Dunning (Regina) – creative nonfiction/memoir

 

The apprentices will have the opportunity to share their work publicly at the Apprentice Reading on Friday, May 3, 2024, in Saskatoon.
