Blue Pencil Sessions with Jillian Bell from SaskBooks
Part of the Publishing Symposium series.
These sessions are offered in partnership between SaskBooks and the Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild.
In these one-on-one sessions, Jillian Bell, Executive Director of SaskBooks, addresses questions about the Canadian indie press book scene and different aspects of the changing book industry. From pitching to agents to the editorial process to book production and accessibility standards, Jill will answer your nerdy book questions and will offer advice on what publishing model may be best for you.
IMPORTANT NOTE: SaskBooks, as the creative industry association for publishing in Saskatchewan, does not publish books; the members of SaskBooks do. Jill cannot acquire your manuscript or broker distribution at your favourite indie bookshop, but she may be able to give you suggestions of how to do those things.
Come to ask questions and leave with knowledge in your brain!
