The Impact of ADHD on Writing - Webinar with Learning Disabilities Association of Saskatchewan

Join the SWG and the Learning Disabilities Association of Saskatchewan (LDAS) for a free lunch-hour webinar on navigating writing and ADHD.

Austen, Dostoevsky, Hemingway, Dahl – The Impact of ADHD on Writing*

*This is not to suggest that Austen, Dostoevsky, Hemingway, and Dahl had ADHD. Their names conveniently serve as an acronym for ADHD, and they’re famous writers. Brilliant.

About:

ADHD impacts our executive functioning abilities; the very abilities we rely on to write! This presentation will clarify how executive dysfunction frustrates our attempts at time-management, organization, planning/prioritizing, task initiation, and follow-through. Most importantly, participants will be provided with evidence-based strategies to adapt to their unique needs.

Learning Disabilities Association of Saskatchewan (LDAS) supports the education, employment, wellness, and human rights of those with learning disabilities and neurodivergence, including ADHD.  We are a provincial organization, offering the following core services:

•             ADHD Coaching

•             Academic Strategy and Tutoring

•             Employability Coaching

•             Adult Academic Program

•             Psychoeducational Assessments

•             Workshops

Workshop Facilitator

Brett Williams is the Director of Program Service Delivery for the Learning Disabilities Association of Saskatchewan (LDAS).  He has professional experience providing mental health counselling and consultation across the education, health, community, and private sectors.  He is the author of zero books.  Brett has personal experience receiving mental health services and has been humbled as a husband, father, and mental health “professional” (he sure wishes all his fancy book-learnin’ would have been more applicable).  Brett recognizes that the “recommended” approaches and strategies look great on paper, though often require adaptations when applied to real life.
