Tânsi Talk with Chantal Kyplain and Bonnie G. Marwood

Wahkohtowin As Resistance: Reclaiming Voice Through Poetry and Kinship

This Tânsi Talk Series, we bring to you, Chantal Kyplain! She will explore how ‘Wahkohtowin’, the Cree & Metis teachings of kinship, connection and collective responsibility, has shaped her healing and writing. Chantal is a woman in recovery and a Metis poet. She will share personal stories and excerpts from her work. Wahkohtowin teaches that we don’t walk through life alone, together we will explore how poetry can act as both ceremony and resistance-a reclamation of voice, identity and story in the face of erasure.
