Ashleigh Mattern has been working as a professional writer since 2007, getting her start at the University of Saskatchewan student newspaper the Sheaf and the Saskatoon StarPhoenix. Today, she’s the co-owner of Vireo Creative Website Design & Marketing and co-owner of Play Sask Sports, an adult rec sports league. From 2017 to 2021, she worked at CBC as a reporter and copy editor, and as an associate producer on CBC’s Saskatoon Morning radio show. But long before she was a professional writer, she was writing fiction and continues to do so to this day.
