Carmen Gilmore

Carmen Gilmore is an environmental advocate and essayist. Her debut work of ecological essays, Field Notes from the Ravine, forthcoming from Dundurn Press, blends memoir and history and weaves a story of land across time. Her essays, critiques and reviews have appeared in the Land of Living Skies Journal, The Field Stone Review, NiCHE, Quill & Quire, with forthcoming pieces in The Metropole, The Blue Jay and The Goose: A Journal of Arts, Environment and Culture.

Carmen is the creator of Woodland Art Adventures, a nature-based family art studio and committed to engaging youth in place-based learning. She is also the proud owner/curator of a little free library!
