Christalee Froese

Christalee Froese is a journalist, author and founder of the More Joy Movement (a mental health awareness organization).

With bachelor degrees in Political Science (University of Saskatchewan) and Journalism (University of Regina), she has spent her career in the newspaper and magazine industries as a writer and editor. Her syndicated column, Rural Routes, was a staple of the LeaderPost and weekly newspapers throughout the prairies for many years. She currently travel writes for the National Post and most of Canada’s major daily newspapers.

Froese authored the non-fiction book Journey to Joy in 2018 (YNWP) and her second book Permission Granted to be Joyful Again in 2026 (YNWP). She founded the More Joy Movement in 2019 which has created a mental health online community, events and retreats reaching thousands.
