Find Saskatchewan Writers

I am a teacher who has taught every grade level in Saskatchewan for the past 29 years. I currently teach English Language Arts with a side order of History for relevance and context. I started writing personally back in 2014 with a challenge that I would post a "Darrylology" thought, comment, insight every day on Facebook. I managed to keep that up for three years. Since then, I have taken an interest at writing short stories, poems, and even a novel!!! I typed everything in a Journal app on my phone, so I guess I am "all thumbs" (insert dry humour). My current novel attempt is being proofread by a colleague. It has been an interesting journey, especially since I started the novel during a health crisis with my mother, and continued using writing as a means to deal with the stress and anxieties that have come with these health issues. It is my hope that I can publish this novel and continue sharing my stories with future readers. I am currently writing the sequel to the first novel, so even though it may seem I am getting ahead of myself, the art of writing has been very engaging. This is my first time joining the Saskatchewan Writers' Guild. It was recommended by another colleague who has had his works published. I look forward to the adventure.
