Keith M. Leonard was born in Newfoundland and Labrador and now lives in Saskatchewan, Canada. He lives in the land of living skies with his wife Joy, their three adult children (Dakota, Desiree and Parker), and three cats (Phantom, Evian and Eska).

Keith began writing speculative fiction in 2022 and has published over 100 stories online. In January 2025, he published a collection of dark fiction entitled Short Not Sweet.

In April 2024, Keith set out to sharpen his skills as a fiction writer. And really, who better to learn from than writers themselves? That spark gave rise to the Brewing Fiction Podcast, a space dedicated to exploring the “why” and “how” behind the craft of storytelling.

Each episode brings together authors from across genres and around the globe, diving into the creative process, the challenges, and the joys of writing. It’s part conversation, part masterclass, and always a celebration of the art of fiction.

Not limited to dark prose, in 2025 Keith turned his imagination toward lighter shores, crafting a whimsical children’s book for his step‑granddaughter. The Secret of Sparkles’ Cove is a princess‑and‑mermaid adventure filled with fun, friendship, and a touch of magic.

To keep his storytelling voices distinct, Keith shares his children’s tales under the pen name Noah D. Carver.
