Miguel A. Fenrich

Miguel A. Fenrich Fenrich (He/him) is a Sudanese-Canadian journalist, photographer, novelist and storyteller, currently serving his first term on the Saskatchewan Writers Guild board of directors. Living south of Battleford on Treaty 6 Territory, he embraces the connecting power of a good story in his work as a staff reporter for the Battleford Regional News-Optimist, as the owner of northwest Saskatchewan's leading genre fiction publishing company, Supernova Press, and in the novel-writing of his books Blue and What Lies in the Valley.

Miguel tackles thought-provoking themes in his fiction, such as white supremacy, class consciousness, feminism, and the LGBTQ2S+ community. Recently, he's been exploring the world of poetry to address society's challenges.
