Your feedback is very valuable to your Board of Directors and to the SWG employee team! We appreciate all the positive feedback on the benefits of SWG membership as well as your views on opportunities for improvement.
We will use the information to help us plan for the coming year and to continue to evolve to serve your needs in the best possible way.
- We had over 360 complete responses to our survey!
Our top five summaries:
- Members join the Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild to be a part of a writing community and access programs and networking opportunities.
- The membership appreciates the work we have done so far on diversity and inclusivity and continues to see a need for more diversity in our membership, including Indigenous presenters, BIPOC, 2SLGBTQ+, accessibility and diverse writing genres.
- Volunteerism is important but challenging. We are looking at how to encourage members to get involved in the work of the SWG!
- Members see SWG taking action for accessibility of programs and events.
- There is an opportunity to attract former and new members by promoting: how to join; programs and publications; volunteering or jobs. We are looking at how to encourage members to get involved in the work of the SWG!
As we move forward with our planning for the upcoming years, we plan to do some further surveys to deepen our understanding of your needs. We hope to be in touch when we need more feedback on certain programs or events.
