The Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild is pleased to welcome Danica Lorer and Josiah Nelson as our editing team for Windscript Volume 40, the SWG magazine for high-school writing. Danica will work in her role as Managing + Prose editor and Josiah will support the magazine as the Associate Poetry editor. Both Danica and Josiah bring enthusiasm, professionalism, and talent as they work to encourage and nurture young writers in Saskatchewan. Youth have until December 14, 2023 to submit their writing for a chance to work with our esteemed editors.
Managing + Prose Editor
Saskatchewan’s Danica Lorer has been struck by lightning, a moose, a rogue semi-tire, vehicles, and the odd strange idea. She is a storyteller, freelance writer, face and body painter, poet, and the host of Saskatoon's literary arts program 'Lit Happens'. She has had short stories and poems published in various literary magazines and anthologies. Her projects have been supported by SK Arts and the Canada Council for the Arts.
Associate Poetry Editor
Josiah Nelson holds an MFA from the University of Saskatchewan, where he teaches creative writing. His work has appeared (or is forthcoming) in Contemporary Verse 2, Hunger Mountain, The Nashwaak Review, Palette Poetry, Queen’s Quarterly, and The Rumpus. He lives in Saskatoon.
