Everyone loves noir. But what is it exactly? A genre? A mindset? A way of looking at the world? Join Regina Public Library's 2024-25 Writer in Residence Michael Mirolla for this captivating presentation that takes a look at the history of noir and its connection to socio-political conditions either when used in films or literature. This presentation will also examine the use of noir techniques and how they differ when discussing American, European and Canadian noir.
