Hazel Dixon is an oral storyteller of Ojibway/Mohawk ancestry from Ontario. She taught at the Come’n’Learn Regina Aboriginal Head Start program for fifteen years and is also a Life Skills Coach Facilitator. Many of her stories are First Nation’s legends and she has presented at conferences, schools, children's festivals, exhibitions, and libraries. She is an Elder with the Regina Board of Education and believes strongly in developing strong reading skills in our children. For the Saskatchewan Centennial Celebration, she did a Metis radio play that was aired on CBC Radio.

Kaleigh River Aramenko is a proud Cree and Dakota woman from Ile a la Crosse, SK and a member of James Smith Cree Nation, with roots extending across Treaty 6. She is a poet, an upcoming author, mother, and is currently finishing her diploma in Mental Health and Wellness at SIIT. She finished her Bachelor's degree in English at the University of Saskatchewan in 2019. She loves learning about her culture, being on the land, and walking her journey on the red road.
