The SWG in partnership with the Saskatoon Public Library will host this Creative Writing Workshop with Metis artist Leah Marie Dorion. She will share some cultural teachings related to the spring moons (March, April, and May) and then she will help get participants started on a poetry piece about the spring moons. Leah will read some of her poems from her 13 Moons Art Show and answer questions about the creative writing process.
Leah Marie Dorion is a Metis writer and artist currently living near Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada. Her artwork celebrates the strength and resilience of Indigenous women and families.
