Clarissa Harwood is the author of three historical novels: The Curse of Morton Abbey (Thornfield Press, 2021), Bear No Malice (Pegasus Books, 2019), and Impossible Saints (Pegasus Books, 2018). Publishers Weekly called Impossible Saints “a rich debut. . . . With insight and sensitivity, Harwood explores century-old social mores and challenges that still echo loudly today.” Bear No Malice won the Editor's Choice Award from the Historical Novel Society, and Kirkus Reviews called it “a smart and highly civilized tale about love, temptation, and second chances.” Clarissa was born and raised in Saskatchewan and holds a PhD in nineteenth-century British literature from the University of Western Ontario. In addition to being an author, Clarissa is a university instructor, writing coach, and editor who loves to explain the difference between restrictive and nonrestrictive clauses. In her spare time she bakes pies and plays with her four spoiled cats. Find her at https://clarissaharwood.com/
