Jackie Cameron has worked in the public library and in resource centres in school divisions for most of her career. She has always loved books and after retiring, she decided to write an easy chapter book that shows what it is like to live on a ranch in SW Saskatchewan. Jackie embellished incidents that happened to her family when they raised cattle and added a mystery to the story.

Jackie’s first book, Adventures on the Circle Star Ranch was shortlisted for the G. Murray and Edna Forbes Foundation Children's Literature Award in the 2022 Saskatchewan Book Awards. The book was also shortlisted for the 2022/2023 Next Generation Indie Book Awards.
Jackie's second book published in 2023, Lost Treasure on the Circle Star Ranch, continues following the lives of Ben and Sarah.
