Inspired by Walter Farley’s The Black Stallion series, eleven-year-old Jody Jones wrote and illustrated her own series of books about a racehorse. They were handwritten on loose-leaf paper and stapled together, but her friends couldn’t wait to see what happened next!

Jody recently published her first article in the Fall 2022 issue of Freelance magazine. Currently, Jody is working on a young adult science fiction novel and a picture book about adopting a most unusual pet. She belongs to the SWG and CANSCAIP.
