he/him
I am a Queer interdisciplinary artist based in Saskatoon. Since 2010, my primary focus has been spoken word and performance poetry, occasionally blending my original writing with theatrical elements, including acting, costuming, movement, and puppetry. Over the years, I have produced a number of full-length stage shows or presentations that showcase my poetry and provide paid opportunities for other artists to share their work. I love collaborating with artists of all disciplines, and have frequently worked with contemporary and flamenco dancers. As a poet, I've been hired for a wide variety of events with audiences of all ages, and I've had the honour of being the feature writer at a number of poetry events, such as Halifax's Plum Poetry, Regina's Word Up Wednesday, Moose Jaw's Performers Cafe, Saskatoon's Tonight It's Poetry and It's Queerly Poetry, and more. In 2025, I will be a feature poet at Octagon Collective's monthly poetry night in Dunedin, Aotearoa/New Zealand.
Since 2010, I have been a troupe member with the Rosebud Burlesque Club as well, performing as Conrad Fusion, a character who combines poetry with striptease. As a burlesque artist, I have taken the stage at the Vancouver, Edmonton, and Saskatoon International Burlesque Festivals, and at shows in Regina, North Battleford, Cold Lake, Toronto, and New Orleans. In 2025, a short poetry/burlesque film I co-produced is premiering at the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival, and I will be performing a poetry/burlesque act at the BurlesKiwi International Festival in Palmerston North, Aotearoa/New Zealand.
I am also a birder, nature lover, dreamer, and rom-com watcher, and my writing often reflects those aspects of my personality.
Outside of poetry, I have been a regular contributor for a national magazine called The Dance Current since 2021, allowing me to share my appreciation of dance and showcase dance artists and groups across Saskatchewan and Canada.
