The Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild is pleased to announce the participants of the 2025 Mentorship Program and Indigenous Mentorship Programs. These programs nurture emerging Saskatchewan writers by pairing them with established writing mentors for a 4-month program (Jan 1 – April 30).

 

Mentorship Program

Jan Coffey-Olson (Rosetown) mentored by J. Jill Robinson (Galiano Island) – fiction

Brent Moore (Moose Jaw) mentored by Shane Arbuthnott – speculative fiction

Rowan Neufeld (Saskatoon) mentored by Bruce Rice (Regina) – poetry

Carrie Stene (Prince Albert) mentored by Clarissa Harwood (Val-des-Monts) – historical fiction

 

Indigenous Mentorship Program

Jasmine Cook (Saskatoon) mentored by Carol Rose GoldenEagle (Regina Beach) – poetry

 

The apprentices will have the opportunity to share their work publicly at the Apprentice Reading on Friday May 2, 2025 in Saskatoon.
