The Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild is pleased to announce Carmen Gilmore as the recipient of the Judy McCrosky Bursary at the SWG Summer Writers’ Retreat.
The Judy McCrosky Bursary provides an emerging Saskatchewan writer with program fees for one week’s retreat and is awarded at both the Winter and Summer Retreats.
Carmen Gilmore is a Saskatoon-based writer focused on narrative non-fiction. She is a naturalist interested in the human connection to place and the memories and stories that are evoked. When not writing or walking the family dog, you can find Carmen exploring the wild spaces and transforming the treasures she finds into art.
The SWG’s Summer 2024 Writers’ Retreats will be held at St. Peter’s Abbey in Muenster from July 12-26, 2024. More information about the retreats and these scholarships is available at https://skwriter.com/retreats/writer-and-artist-retreats.
