Please join Cheryl Kloppenburg and the Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild in recognizing a Saskatchewan author who has written a substantial body of literary work and has had a significant impact on writing in Saskatchewan.

A luncheon reception will be held Thursday, September 24 at 12:30 p.m. at Saskatoon Golf & Country Club. The 2026 Cheryl and Henry Kloppenburg Award for Literary Excellence winner will be announced at this time.

Tickets are $25 per person and must be purchased by September 10, 2026 (below). If you'd like to purchase via etransfer or by phone, please contact our office at 306-791-7740.

Meal Options:

A – Housemade Chicken Cordon Bleu (Tender chicken breast stuffed with ham and Swiss cheese served with mushroom ragu)

B – Vegetarian Eggplant Ratatouille – gluten-free (a mix of cauliflower, zucchini, peppers, celery and carrots in a housemade tomato ragu topped with breaded eggplant)

Both entrees come with herb-seasoned fingerling potatoes and roasted mixed vegetables. The lunch also includes a starter garden green salad and carrot cake (GF/vegan) dessert. If you have dietary restrictions/allergies or accessibility needs, please note when buying tickets. You may discuss this further with SWG staff after receiving your ticket confirmation email.

This lunch is hosted on the second floor of Saskatoon Golf & Country Club, which is accessible by stairs or elevator. Free parking available in the parking lot.

Ticket cancellation policy:

If you are unable to attend the lunch, the Guild’s cancellation policy is:
 

• A full refund if the ticket is cancelled two weeks prior to the start of the event (by 11:59 p.m. on September 10, 2026)
• A 50% refund if you cancel your ticket less than two weeks and more than 72 hours before the lunch. (For cancellations between September 11 and 21 at 11:59 a.m. SK time)
• There is no refund for registrations cancelled within 72 hours of the event or no-shows. (Beginning at 12:00 p.m. on September 21). In this case, we encourage you to find someone else to take your ticket or speak to the SWG to help you find someone.

Registered attendees must promptly email the SWG (Debbie Sunchild-Petersen, swgip@skwriter.com) to cancel their ticket and/or request a refund. Otherwise, no refunds will be issued.
