The SWG is now accepting applications for the February 2023 Winter Writer/Artist Retreat, held at St. Peter’s Abbey in Muenster, SK from February 3-24, 2023.
The SWG’s Winter Writer/Artist Retreat is a self-directed retreat for established and practicing writers and artists who are able to work independently. Writers can choose to attend 1-2 weeks of retreats. Spaces are limited.
Weekly Retreat fees cover all administration, private rooms, and food costs for one week’s stay:
Scholarship and Bursary Opportunities
Our Winter Retreats now have two scholarship and bursary opportunities for attending writers. The Judy McCrosky Bursary pays one week’s fee for an emerging Saskatchewan writer and the John V. Hicks Scholarship provides $300 to a mid-career Saskatchewan writer working on poetry for a two-week stay at the Winter Retreats.
