Reading and workshop

Joan Soggie is a wonderful storyteller.  Her writing has focused on Saskatchewan's people and history.  What is quite remarkable about Joan is that her research acumen, coupled with a strong narrative voice, generates substantial authenticity and engagement for readers. Readers are intrigued by the content of her work, but also by the discipline she has brought to its creation.  Joan has done Archaeological Society lectures, is an inveterate traveller herself and an accomplished workshop presenter.

Her publications:  Looking for Aiktow, 2014; Prairie Grass, 2020; and Rikka, 2022.  She has also published numerous articles in the Saskatchewan Archaeology Quarterly and The Saskatchewan History and Folklore Magazine.

Joan is a guest for this event of the STEEPED & BREWED WRITERS' GROUP in Manitou Beach, SK.   This same group has sponsored Joan for a reading and Q&A at the Watrous Public Library on March 7th at 2 p.m.
