When we are grieving, we often look to wilder realms for signs that help us find our way through difficult times. Grief shakes us out of ordinary realms of living and suddenly we find ourselves noticing wild animals around us or if we're lucky, we are visited by one. This writing workshop helps us process our grief by turning our attention to the healing power of animals and the messages they bring when we need it most. Here is an overview of what we'll journey through together:
Opening story and teaching
Creative writing exercise on animal symbolism
Animal-themed poetry discussion. I’ll bring poems to read and discuss together.
Quiet writing time
Sharing circle and close
