Writing North 2026: Things Are Not As They Seem

The Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild and the University of Saskatchewan’s MFA in Writing Program are pleased to present Writing North 16: Things Are Not As They Seem.

Our 2026 festival will be held in-person at St Andrew’s College (1121 College Dr) in Saskatoon (with some of the events livestreamed and recorded), and is open to the public free of charge.  All events will be held in the Main Lounge at St Andrew’s College in Saskatoon. Livestreamed events will be available via Zoom and on our YouTube channel for 30 days post-festival. Join us for workshops and a panel on elements of writing poetry, creative non-fiction, and fiction, as well as a feature talk by award-winning writer Waubgeshig Rice. Full festival schedule to come.

More details will be released soon; please watch the SWG’s media for more information.
